This is a senior equipment engineer role working on BAES Rochester equipment reporting to a group leader. This role will be managing the development of existing equipment changes and the development of new equipment for obsolescence removal. The successful candidate will work in a team of Equipment engineers on the Typhoon AVS SS equipment team. The role will require management of a Typhoon supplier with some travel. The successful candidate will work in a team, of equipment engineers on Typhoon Avionics equipment. This role will require management of a Typhoon supplier through new development programmes with some UK travel.

The job will involve the maintenance of the CSG, CIU and HEA Software Requirements Hazard Analysis (SRHA) document to amend it in line with any changes made to the CSG, CIU and HEAPU LPSs.

Key responsibilities include: Working with a group leader to manage a supplier through a development programme; including development review, approval of flight clearance and supporting documentation. Technical point of contact for an equipment, to handle build line, design office and in-service queries Manage modifications to equipment with suppliers and though the internal change process Assessing and handling of failures and/or deviations on equipment
