My client, a market leading global consultancy are currently recruiting for a Big Data Developer to join them on an interim basis based in Croydon.

Candidates MUST already hold valid SC Clearance

You will be responsible and should have relevant experience in the following:

* Proven undertaking with Hadoop HDFS, Spark and Hbase

* Loading from disparate data sets

* Translate complex functional and technical requirements to detailed design

* Maintain security and data privacy

* High-speed querying

* Good knowledge in Back End programming, specifically java/scala

* Writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code

* Good experience to write MapReduce jobs

* Hands on experience in Hbase,Spark.

* Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Ooozie

* Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to Big data domain

* Good aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.

* Test prototypes and overs handover to operational teams
