A brand-new opportunity has just become available for a Technical Architect to join this market-leading business, offering the chance to hugely influence the success of the business and shape its technology roadmap.
The primary focus of the successful Technical Architect will be designing and maintaining the business' system and solution architecture, while also working alongside their software and infrastructure partners to ensure IT is managed and maintained in line with strategy, roadmap and regulatory obligations.
The Technical Architect will also work closely with key third-party partners as the client's Technical Expert to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right cost, and to expected standards. Furthermore, the role will drive key decisions around system integration and architecture in an environment with very little red tape!
Working as a Technical Architect, your role will include:
* Further development and implementation of a cohesive, integrated IT roadmap.
* Analysing, designing and maintaining IT architecture to ensure all systems are built and hang together correctly.
* Review and improve IT Systems, software and hardware to ensure core business requirements are met during our growth.
* Day to day interaction with key third party suppliers to challenge their proposals and costs (in relation to system integration).
* Providing strategic digital, IT and technology advice to stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:
* Working knowledge of some of the following: Unix, Oracle, SQL Server, HTML, Java, XML, TCP, .NET.
* Practice of estimation, design patterns and development tools.
* Experience of developing or modifying a whole company IT architecture.
* Experience working with 3rd party suppliers/vendors within a similar position.
