Senior Analytics Manager - Special Projects & Governance
The Role of Senior Analytics Manager:
- To support the Business Unit in maximising understanding & profitability and in meeting its business objectives.
- Managing Data Management type activities to support the analytics data consumers and ensure governance of data usage is in line with GDPR.
- Responsible for sharing & creating meaningful analysis across the business by leading a team which will develop, maintain and improve high quality, insightful & validated strategies, that drive business performance.
- Responsible for building highly effective relationships with stakeholders across the business, managing their expectations and increasing team visibility around projects delivered.
- Suggest improvements where necessary, so the team are delivering analysis utilising latest technology.
Skills needed for the Senior Analytics Manager:
- Strong Analytical Reasoning
- Highly developed analytical skills to extract information from data and translate to business language & financial impacts.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and in agreement with stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence & communicate analysis and recommendations to colleagues at different levels of the organisation.
- Thought Leadership & ability to drive/influence business objectives and team strategy
- SAS experience required. Also preferable to have experience in VBA or other presentation tools
Experience:
- Experience of applying analytical techniques to data to produce explanatory or predictive results
- Analytical experience within financial services or an alternative data driven organization
- Experience of line management & responsibility of a team, preferably managing team leaders / managers.
- Highly experienced in working with & influencing stakeholders and business colleagues at different levels of the organisation.
