In response to customer requests and changes, this role will report into the Marshall Solution Lead to support the development of NATS engineering solutions to be presented to the MoD, Aquila and Thales. It will involve working with technical leads in NATS, Thales and Aquila to define the solution, develop the cost model, and with the Commercial Manager, ensure the proposal complies with NATS Governance.

The job holder will review Notice of Changes (NOCs) from the customer (Aquila / MoD) and Claims and Proposals to the customer (Aquila / MoD / Thales) and lead the definition of the technical solution with the wider NATS Project Marshall team. The job holder will work autonomously within the NATS Commercial Governance Process and manage the team in delivering the best solution to the customer.

The job holder will provide in-depth knowledge, providing direction and leadership to relevant stakeholders including senior managers within NATS and stakeholders outside of NATS, as required to improve NATS solution capabilities.

Role in the Marshall Team: Reporting in to the Solution Lead, this role will review the NOCs / Claims / Proposals and lead the technical solution. The job holder be part of a 3-man team and work closely with a wider team ensuring team members understand objectives, roles and accountabilities and that commercial governance is always adhered to.

Proposal Composition and Production: Supports and completes the production of the proposal, ensuring delivery within deadlines and within budget, to the required level of quality and to the satisfaction of the Solution Lead and Programme Director

Financial Awareness: Prepares, monitors and control budgets. Manages financial considerations and pricing strategies of the proposals.

Compliance - Act, at all times, in accordance with the MOD authority standards and policies as well as the NATS Management System, to ensure:

* Defined legislative and regulatory requirements are met for all assigned assets.

* Applicable standards and processes are defined, maintained and are implemented (e.g. security, interoperability, safety, assurance, design baselining and change control)

Safety - Ensures safety impacts are considered in the solution so that it meets all customer and regulatory safety requirements. Foster an open and approachable working environment that encourages individuals to raise and resolve potential safety issues.

Risk Management - Identify and manage any business risks arising from technical activities.

Supplier liaison - work with the Supply Chain Manager in supporting and reviewing suppliers to ensure their solution design and asset delivery is capable acceptance.

Customer Focus: Has an excellent working relationship with customers developing a relationship of mutual trust. Is proactive in shaping both customer needs and the capture plan to meet them. Keeps customers fully informed of progress, if appropriate.
