Senior IT Systems Administrator

York

£40K - £50K

My client, a highly successful organisation based in York are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator. A hands on technical role, you will join this small but busy team with main focus on supporting, maintaining and developing the IT infrastructure ensuring that the systems run efficiently and are available to the organisation at all times.

You will be experienced working to a senior capacity including; providing expertise and direction, strategy and working to industry best practice techniques. You will also propose and lead improvement projects within the IT environment, with key skills in stakeholder management.

Key areas that you will be responsible for and expected to have solid knowledge of include; Service Level Management, Availability Management, Continuity Management, Capacity Management, Security and Incident Management, Problem and Configuration Management.

Key Skills;

*Microsoft Windows Server

*Application platforms (e.g. PCs, Servers, Mobile devices, Tablets, Storage solutions, Virtual Machines)

*Regulations concerning data protection, copyright, software licensing and protection.

*Legislation concerning audits on systems e.g. Security, Change Management

*Application platforms (e.g. PCs, PC Servers, Tablets, Mobile devices, Storage solutions, Virtual Machines )

*Understanding of Windows and Linux Server OS software, configurations and Domain Services

*Understanding of Microsoft's Azure Cloud Service provision

*Server Virtualisation using HyperV and VMWare

*Understanding of the organisation's use of IT infrastructure and therefore impact of any outage (planned or otherwise)

Desirable Skills;

*MCSE - Server, Desktop infrastructure level.

*Understanding of communications technologies (VoIP, PBX, mobiles, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth)

*Office 365 rollout experience
