PHP Developer, Lead Developer, Laravel If you're an experienced PHP Developer, looking for a role offering a technical challenge, great flexibility and the chance to grow your own team, whilst using technology to drive business transformation, then look no further!The OpportunityThe PHP Developer / Lead Developer will be joining a fast-growing, innovative digital company, at the heart of which, is a market-leading web platform connecting consumers and suppliers in a highly-lucrative market.  Entering a phase of fast growth, my client is bringing their development in-house, so the PHP Developer / Lead Developer will be the first step in achieving that.  Using your analysis and problem-solving skills, you will need to work out how to translate their ideas for new functionality into creative technical solutions, before then recruiting a small team to assist you in the actual development.As well as an excellent salary, you can expect a 35 hour week with flexible hours and the option to work from home a couple of days a week.  Based in a stunning rural location on the edge of Wantage, there is plenty of onsite parking, but be sure to bring your wellies for peaceful lunchtime walks!What do I need?As mentioned above, my client is seeking to build a team, so your soft skills and abilities are as important as your tech ability, especially as you'll be working with the business to elicit and understand requirements, as well as coming up with ideas of your own.  At the same time, the core technologies/experience relevant to this PHP Developer / Lead Developer position include:

'€¢Strong PHP and MySQL'€¢Experience with Laravel (preferred) or Symfony'€¢WordPress, although this is not used extensively'€¢JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML/CSS, etc.'€¢Front end development skills with a good eye for UX'€¢Experience of mentoring/leading other developers or demonstrable leadership qualities'€¢Any DevOps/Systems administration would be useful, but by no means essential
