BI Project Manager

450 - 525 per day

As the BI Project Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a sweet of Business Intelligence products into the business that will affect the way BI is utilised across the board. Post-integration, the business will expect you role to then transition to a strategic one that focuses specifically on future state planning in order to continuously improve the usage of said sweet.

Background

The Enterprise-scale BI Programme was mobilised to transform the business into a Data Driven Organisation. Reporting to the BI Programme Manager, you are required to manage the delivery of a number of projects that shape the future business, IT and data Target Operating Model (TOM), developing business capability and enabling the business to derive benefit from the technology, people and process investment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Delivering projects within the EBI Programme to the desired level of quality, cost and timescales:

* Planning and Organising

* Monitoring and Control

* Delivery and Completion

* Risk and Issue Management & Escalation (where appropriate)

* Change Control

* Quality Management

* Project Cost and Scope

* Manage, lead and motivate the project team (including PMs) on a day to day basis

* Ensure that all projects are delivered according to internally agreed EBI Programme standards

* Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to

* Ensure that the Programme planning tools are effectively used to support all project activities

* Report progress through the defined EBI Programme Reporting Process

* Demonstrate effective leadership skills, specifically to set direction, mobilise people, make decisions & drive Improvement

* Act as a role model to others, demonstrating the following behaviours: professional, responsive, dynamic, innovative and focused, delivering with pace, passion and style

Experience:

* 5 years+ experience as a Senior Business Project Manager, with experience of IT, business change & data delivery projects

* Demonstrable experience of delivery on large scale business transformation programmes, with the ability to cope with a high degree of uncertainty

* Delivery of Target Operating Model across, business, IT and data organisations

* Delivery of 5-year strategy and technical roadmap (desired - development of investment strategy)

* An understanding of BI, Analytics, MI & Reporting and Data Warehousing concepts

* Understanding of Data Governance, Data Management and Data Quality

* Delivery using Waterfall, Agile techniques

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

* Experience of the Insurance industry is desirable.
