My Client based in Slough are looking for a Contracts Manager for an initial 3-6 month contract with the potential to extend.

They are looking for someone to be accountable for the financial performance, service delivery and developing long term strategic growth on large, strategically important and/or complex outsourced/IT contracts, or group of contracts.

You directly impact the organization's P&L and customer satisfaction scores. The position of contracts manager holds responsibility for contracts and ongoing relationships with suppliers as well as the management and supervision of a contract team thereby ensuring the cost-effectiveness and value for money of contracts.

Applicant for this position should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers as well as with internal entities (such as Delivery, Legal, Finance, etc).

He/she should also be able to research and keep up with changing market trends besides having an excellent understanding of the company's core industry.

Responsibilities:

-Work closely with management and suppliers to establish robust mechanisms and procedures for all contracts and procurement required and manage this process throughout transition

-Take ownership of negotiations and resolution of contractual disputes with end customer and with vendors so as to achieve desired outcome

-Liaise with procurement, legal and finance to ensure compliance with the relevant policies and procedures when purchasing IT services

-Ensure that the delivery/business is aware of all relevant procurement frameworks and its interests are represented at the appropriate forums

-Co-ordinate the contract change control process, resolve contract disputes, identify and manage contracts risks ¿ Work with the technical / project teams to lead contractual reviews

-Report issues and opportunities in a timely manner and manage risk appropriately

-Ensure contractual governance / approval mechanisms are applied and support governance meetings in line with the contract to ensure actions delivered upon

-Work with relevant vendor manager to track performance of suppliers against the contract on key contractual KPIs working and ensuring that the suppliers are delivering on all fronts

-Work with relevant stakeholders to engage with supplier contacts, ensuring agreed performance and pricing are maintained and new costs are agreed under contract as required

-Work with our technical / project teams and Managed Service Providers to ensure that our suppliers / contracts are managed effectively yielding sustained savings Requirements:

-Experience working with customers and suppliers at all levels to understand requirements and negotiate appropriate contracts

-Good knowledge of business contract solutions development for both delivery and management of IT Services

-An understanding of project management and delivery, working with a variety of stakeholders ¿ Strong commercial experience and Strong influencing and negotiation skills

-Excellent communicator at all levels in an organisation across a variety of disciplines, legal, Technical, finance and procurement

-Good understanding of contract law

-Supplier management skills and experience

-Contract management skills and experience

-Ability to analyse complex supplier proposals, identify risks and issues and provide consolidated review to aid decision making by internal and external stakeholders

-Knowledge of Information technology including being technically proficient
