An excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for a customer facing role where you will be involved in the design of special purpose machinery, in a company that it going through sustained growth.

This company specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of special purpose machinery and automation systems for a range of industries. They are now at a pivotal part of their growth and due to this they are looking to expand the engineering team with a number of applications engineers.

In this role you will be working directly with customers and be working with them to define their solutions. This will involve the initial design concepts, bid writing and proposals, costing's and liaising closely with the design, sales and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, have been in a customer facing role and have experience of automation, bids and proposals.

The Role:

*Directly working with customers to define their solutions

*Coming up with initial designs for automation and special purpose machinery

*Writing bids and proposals

*Working to establish costing's for projects

*Working closely with the design, sales and manufacturing teams

The Person:

*Degree in Product Design or Mechanical Engineering

*Knowledge of design packages such as SolidWorks or SolidEdge

*Background with special purpose machinery or automation

*Ability to write bids and proposals
