Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator

Salary: £39,740 - £44,603 per annum plus Market Rate Premium

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

Job Role:

The Fire & Rescue are looking to recruit a SQL Server DBA to join their busy IT Infrastructure team based out of their head office in Tovil. You will be working on a variety of database systems that support all business aspects including those used by front-line firefighters

This is a role that offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced SQL Server DBA to develop within KFRS, using SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2017 and potential future migration to the cloud.

The Candidate:

You will have previous DBA experience, as well as a proactive approach to ensuring new database technologies are exploited for the benefit of the organisation. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects relating to existing internal database systems, and instrumental in the development and implementation of new systems.

You will have strong database administration mind-set and will have experience across a range of database technologies, including replication and integration services. You will be a good communicator, team player and analytical thinker with an eye for detail.

It is essential that you have demonstrable experience as a SQL Server DBA, an MCSA in SQL Server (or equivalent) and have excellent understanding of concepts and practices within database administration.
