A Cloud Solutions Architect AWS is needed to lead the architecture and design effort for my clients award winning and rapidly expanding SaaS product range designed and developed in Dublin, Ireland. Working as their Cloud Solutions Architect AWS you will need to be able to work with multiple cross functional teams (CFT) providing technical leadership on infrastructure / cloud design and day-to-day operational activities. You will have a deep understanding of cloud services and devops practices to efficiently deliver infrastructure to support their rapidly growing application. You will also help with improving processes and procedures around the support of the operations organisation. This role reports to the Head of Development Operations.

Expertise needed working as their Cloud Solutions Architect AWS

*8+ years of Infrastructure engineering experience preferably 3+ in a leadership role

*3+ years of proven experience with AWS

*Experience with Azure Services

*Experience with infrastructure deployment automation

*Highly organised, self-motivated and pro-active behaviour.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*Excellent collaboration, influence and leadership skills.

*Ability to lead engineering teams on project or initiative level.

*Ability to analyse and understand complex problems.

*Previous experience with on-premise to cloud migration

Advantageous

*3+ years of Datacentre infrastructure experience

*AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or DevOps Engineer (Professional)

*Previous experience with SaaS based systems is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Solutions Architect AWS:

Produce design specifications to define and support the proposed changes to the infrastructure architecture and design.

Participate in all stages of SDLC including design and code reviews, physical architecture updates, delivery pipeline support.

Oversee infrastructure engineering practices such as new hardware refreshes, capacity management, systems standards and infrastructure as code incorporating continuous integration and delivery.

Work with stakeholders to refine business requirements, understand and document the infrastructure design.

Work with development teams to ensure high degree of systems stability, availability and resiliency.

Assist the development teams in investigating complex development or production issues especially around infrastructure performance.

Develop proof of concept prototypes and MVP solutions for new designs and technologies.

Contribute to the LoE estimations for large deliverables.

Ensure architecture and design applied by the development and operations teams is compliant to technology strategic goals and roadmaps.

Work closely with the Enterprise Architects in carrying out the overall vision for our platform.
