Role: Agile Coach/Scrum Master

Location: Krakow

Rate: £700 to £800 p/day (Potential Flex)

Contract Length: 3 Months (likely to extend)

Start Date: ASAP

The Role: This role will be placed out of Krakow and will involve 5 days a week work or 4 days and a day's travel. The team is currently split in to 24 squads and the applicant will need to pick up as many as 5 teams to coach/train. Driving constant improvement in agile across the business. Increasing the clients agile maturity through exceptional understanding of Agile software product development and agile methodologies (initially Scrum and Kanban).

Key areas of coaching:

* Leading the community of practise for Scrum Masters, sharing insights with the community and working together to achieve shared goals.

* Contributing to and maintaining the "Agile Playbook".

* Working alongside local channel / tribe leadership teams to deliver business value.

* Agile mind-set coaching (team and stakeholders). Areas include: Product vision, team charter, DoD, DoR, skill/capability gaps identified, scrum ceremonies, transparency (JIRA burn-ups, visual boards, KPIs), test strategy & commitment (e.g. to automation), identify organisational impediments (& fix where appropriate),

* improve coordination across teams

* Working with the Scrum Master and tech community to set the standard and deliver high quality software products to the client's customers.

Key areas of focus include (above and beyond the coaching):

* Product ownership, quality assurance, continuous integration (CI)/continuous deployment (CD) improvements, Governance

* High levels of transparency to ensure key metrics are available in real-time

Evidencing the improvements generated by the Scrum Master team and agile at scale including:

* Key Metrics

* Increased business value (through scorecard creation and maintenance)

* Reduced cycle time (The time from idea > development > deploy)

* Strong focus on Release Frequency, Velocity Accuracy, Actual Velocity, Cumulative Blocked Time and Core Metrics

Required Skills/Experience:

* Significant experience as an agile coach with a variety of agile scaled frameworks (including SAFe and LeSS) for at least two years.

* Extensive experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least four years for an Agile software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Good skills and working knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

* Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).

Preferred Skills/Experience (Any of these is a plus):

* Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile products.

* Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.

* The experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
