Systems Analyst/Developer (Oracle)

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Systems Analyst/Developer for an initial 1 month contract on a rate of c.£300-£365/day(inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Work with the HR team to capture requirements and produce the technical design for the changes to the organisation's sub-system.

* Develop and test the necessary changes to the PL/SQL and Apex functions. This may require an iterative approach as requirements may change.

* Create Oracle PL/SQL packages and in provide solutions using APEX.

Requirements:

* Significant proven success in a systems analyst or design role.

* Experienced in developing Oracle PL/SQL packages.

* Experienced in providing solutions using APEX.

* Ability to capture requirements and produce technical specifications.

* Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to apply critical thinking and communicate complex information.

* Ability to successfully interact with non-technical staff and deliver high quality design and hand-over documentation.

* Strong problem-solving skills with a flexible approach to problem resolution and an ability to deal appropriately with changing requirements.

Desirable skills:

* Experience in manually transforming data.

* Experience in working in an HR business area.

* Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite (v11) for HR and Payroll.

* Experience working in a public sector or higher education institution.
