My Glasgow City Centre based client are currently recruiting for a Software Support Engineer to join their team a 12 month FTC.

This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile Support Engineer to be part of an Established Professional association with a focus on education.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting, configuring and administrating the day to day running of the bespoke and off-the-shelf software applications ensuring continuous business requirements are met.

This will be done by:

* Liaising with the wider business to identify workflows and services for managing code from version control to deployment status

* Providing user support

* Maintain robust code in order to meet business requirements whilst also being able to Recode to expand the range of performance and support projects

* Investigating and resolving technical issues and supply and process data when required

What experience do I need?

You will be familiar with integrated development environments with an attention to detail and a knowledge of legacy databases as well as the ability to adapt to continuously changing priorities and deadlines.

You will also have experience with:

* Linux/UNIX

* C#/Java

* Strong knowledge of Relational Databases

* SharePoint/Office 365
