Agile Coach

Permanent position based in Swansea - £37,428 - £41,173

Would you like the opportunity to contribute to the development and support of new DVLA IT services? We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to join the team to help build world class digital services. We will look for you to support our programme that migrates legacy technology onto new, cloud-based platforms that shape and deliver business and service transformation.

You'll be adept at identifying the need for, and delivering, transformational change initiatives. This will involve gaining support from stakeholders, engaging colleagues to make the changes, overcoming blocks and obstacles and ensuring that the beneficial impacts are achieved. Most of your focus will be towards our development teams but you'll also be required to make sure that the changes you lead fit well with the wider organisation.

The next few years are going to be an exciting period in DVLA IT Services where we are continuing the major transformation of our legacy estate utilising an in-house developed and supported set of services. Our services will have the reach to every household in the UK, the size and scale would be the envy of any UK ecommerce service provider, so it will be a fabulous opportunity to make a difference for us and for you.

Key Responsibilities may include but not limited to

* Provide one-to-one coaching on particular techniques and helping teams of teams to find better ways to work together

* Help individuals, teams and the wider organisation continually develop and apply mastery of Agile, Lean and Scientific values, principles and practices within the disciplined agile framework

* Represent and champion the role within the department, across government and industry, communicating the value of the role to digital and non-digital stakeholders

* Lead the community of practice for this role and build capability and excellence (in an agile lean practice).

* Undertake development / qualifications to achieve professional standards of performance

* Support professional development and continuous improvement of the change delivery community, working with other heads of roles to promote effective cross-functional delivery

Person Overview

You'll be an expert practitioner with deep and broad experience of Lean and Agile approaches, equally adept at providing one-to-one coaching on particular techniques and at helping teams to find better ways to work together. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of solid and adaptable coaching skills. You will have strong internal and external stakeholder engagement experience and the ability to influence across all grades within the organisation.

You will be expected to commit to undertaking development / qualifications to achieve professional standards of performance should you not already hold these.

Skills & Experiences

* Demonstrable and proven mastery of applying Agile and Lean at scale.

* Demonstrable and proven experience of leading complex transformational initiatives

* Demonstrable and proven experience of leading technical teams to complete complex product deliveries, preferably Web products

* Proven experience balancing multiple, and often conflicting, priorities and dealing with ambiguity

* Proven experience at leading the adoption of Lean and Agile in complex environments

* Ideally you will be a Certified Expert in Agile Coaching,
