Leading, global firm is kicking off a series of ambitious projects involving Big Data/Analytics for multiple parts of the business, requiring a senior, technically astute Development Manager manager with a technical (development) background who can manage a multi-million pound budget portfolio of deliverables utilising offshore and near-shore resources. The role requires a combination of high level and low level attributes ie introduction of best practice governance within an agile environment managing 40-60 people (c.£20m) via Scrum Masters, largely via offshore partners, but also someone who is still interested in the detail of the technologies and tools that the Dev teams are using to build the solutions. Key projects include Agile Transformation, assessing and adopting Cloud-based tools (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Hadoop, fully transitioning to integrated DevOps and TDD culture (rather than silo'd QA and Testing function).

Excellent communication is essential as the role requires effective communication with C-level stakeholders, offshore technical partners, architects, QA etc and ensure a cohesive approach is adhered to enabling timely delivery. In addition to your track record for the above, professional project management qualifications such as Prince2 or MSP would be useful as well as any Agile certifications but experience is most important.
