Job Title: Data Management Lead

Location: London

Start Date: 30th April

Contract Length: 3-6 months

Rates: £600-650 per day

The Data Management Lead will be within the transformation programme with principal responsibilities to

1 Champion the need for and ways to achieve good quality data

2 Identify sources and carry out checks, cleansing and enhancement where necessary to fulfil requirements for quality in the new systems

3 Ensure the data is available to meet the project phases including in UAT, initial go live and roll out across the country.

4 Provide guidance and develop processes to be carried into BAU for maintaining and assuring changes particularly for master and reference data

5 Develop the conceptual model and business glossary to ensure the business has the means to understand the critical data elements and their importance

6 Liaison and support of the BAU BI, Analytics and Data Management function within IT in developing and adopting models and standards.

7 Providing project managers with information and input for the planning and control required for management and governance.

8 Provide guidance and develop staff interest in data and its management

Experience

The Data Management Lead must have:

* 10 years minimum Data Management and Governance experience particularly on Data Quality, Master and Reference Data and Metadata Management.

* A technical or analytical degree

* Actively delivered on a migration or integration project

The Data Management Lead should have:

* Exposure to Data Quality tools such as Pandora

* Understanding of the Property and Facilities Management sector (nice to have)

* Working with external solution providers

Skills

The Data Management Lead must have:

* Strong written and verbal communication

* Ability to sell, cajole and demonstrate the need for business attention to data for the project and beyond

* Strong stakeholder management capability

* Good spreadsheet capability for exploration and demonstration of data issues

* Leadership of small team analysts (2-3)

* Ability to plan and monitor performance and provide input to project RAID management

The Data Management lead should have:

* Data Architecture and Modelling skills to assist liaison

* The ability to ensure Data is not lost in the People, Process and Technology model of strategy and change

* Patience but ability to deliver the data for the project and the documentation for the future.
