Due to continued growth this Microsoft Cloud Specialist is currently recruiting for a mid-level Systems Engineer to work out of their Aberdeen office. This opportunity will give you the chance to work with a young, energetic company, to utilise cutting edge technology and to develop your skills as the company grows.

Their customers range from small businesses to multi-national corporations. Their service offering is varied, offering everything from application development to digital marketing, including managed infrastructure services which is the focus of this vacancy. The successful applicant should have a wide range of technical experience but more importantly a flexible mind - the ability to adapt to a wide range of scenarios is absolutely vital to this position. At least three years of experience in infrastructure support, including customer facing on-site work, are required for consideration for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Supporting all aspects of client networks both remotely and on-site.

- Assisting with project work as required.

- Taking calls and ensuring all of your work is recorded in the helpdesk system.

- Ensuring documentation for client sites is accurate.

Key Requirements

- Experience in supporting Windows Networks and Microsoft cloud products.

- Full driving licence and own vehicle.

- Flexible approach, you could be building a global network one day and crawling under desks tracing cables the next.

- Excellent communication skills, both written, over the phone and in person.

- The ability to use a helpdesk system, manage your own work and to accurately record time.

- Practical as well as digital skills, a successful applicant must be able to handle a screwdriver as well as a mouse.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with Cisco phone systems.

- A solid grasp of the fundamentals of networks, DNS, DHCP, subnets etc.

- Experience with Microsoft Exchange.

- Knowledge of the ITIL framework.

- Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as VMware and HyperV.
