The Company

My client is a leading provider of Digital Content Management software solutions. They specialise in the delivery of cloud-based platforms that help their clients to easily build, manage and optimise customer experience.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting a large scale and complex production environment, utilising a broad range of technical skills and agile methodologies. You will collaborate with other specialists and the development team to continually identify improvements and efficiencies.

Your main responsibilities will be:

* Defining and documenting requirements with the product and developments teams;

* Recommending infrastructure technologies to deliver the highest level of efficiency and service

* Designing and testing platforms on AWS and commissioning production-ready services.

* You will be required to interact daily with developers ensuring their efforts are carefully directed within your infrastructure environment

Essential Skills

* Experience in supporting production applications in an AWS Cloud environment

* Strong scripting and automation skills, with knowledge of technology such as Bash, NodeJS and Python

* Good understanding of a programming language

* Experienced in utilising various monitoring tools and frameworks such as Nagios

* Strong Automation and Config Management experience (Ansible, Terraform)

* Experience of container technologies such as Docker and platforms like Kubernetes/Rancher

* Experience of Windows- and Linux-based systems including, build and administration

* Experience architecting highly available infrastructure

* Strong performance tuning (MySQL, Apache, Tomcat & others)
