Software Developer / Geoscience Software Developer required to join agile development team working on highly respected integrated software package. This role would suit a Junior to Mid-Level Software Developer who has 2+ years commercial software development in the full SDLC using C++ or Java. You should have solid OOD software design skills and experience. Ideally my client is looking for candidates with oil and gas / geoscience software experience with seismic and well log data OR experience of onshore geoscience software applications.

For this Software Developer role you must have a degree in Computer Science, Physics, Earth Sciences, Astro Physics or similar, and a strong maths background - at least to A Level. Technically your experience could be Java or C++ working on a Linux platform, working with tools such Eclipse, Jenkins, Gradle, and Jenkins You will be working in a small agile team on new features for industry leading geophysical software packages. Experience with Agile Scrum, TDD, code reviews, unit testing are an advantage - candidates who have Scrum Master experience will be of particular interest.
