This role is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative person to be at the forefront of change in one of the great Departments of State. We need to boost our business analysis capacity to achieve this as the post holders will provide a key link between current and future business models, supporting and enhancing delivery on large scale and/or complex projects and programmes.

The right person for this role will have a proven track record of business analysis, including in agile environments, with the ability to translate strategy and end-to-end business design into detailed outcomes relating to change initiatives. You will need to be able to work at pace, as we operate in an often rapidly changing environment and be comfortable working autonomously to drive progress. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills will also be key.

You will be working on projects with a high level of complexity with a high degree of uncertainty, large in size, politically sensitive, technically complex, have a large number of stakeholders and often need procedures and methodologies to be adapted to suit unique situations. With an expert knowledge of requirements management and business analysis, you will have a working knowledge of planning, risk and issue management capabilities. You will also have practitioner level experience of developing solutions, business change and business case development. A natural leader with great communication and stakeholder management skills, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire your team, often in ambiguous circumstances where end goals change. We would also expect your extensive experience to be complemented by a qualification such as an International Diploma in Business Analysis.
