QHSE Manager Leeds circa £40,000 + benefits

Experienced QHSE professional to drive performance improvement at this world leading specialist manufacturing site in Yorkshire

THE ROLE

As QHSE Manager you maintain Quality and HSE Systems in accordance with required standards. By promoting a Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental culture, you will drive performance improvement. You will make a significant contribution to manufacturing related projects, maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction, while maintaining complete adherence of current and future QHSE Management System standards. Your responsibilities will include:

* regular audits / follow up reports / implementing robust root cause investigation techniques

* chairing QHSE committee meetings

* investigating accidents or dangerous occurrences as necessary

* working pro-actively to ensure smooth transition from enquiry to production implementation

* analysing performance data to identify areas for improvement

* liaising with customers to resolve issues

THE COMPANY

Our client is a world leader in surface coatings, anti-corrosion solutions and finishings and provides specialist surface coatings to a variety of industry sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Engineering, Construction, Medical etc. Their Leeds facility has a comprehensive management system in place to ensure the highest quality standards for their blue-chip customer base.

THE PERSON

As QHSE Manager you will have knowledge / experience of the quality requirements of the oil and gas industry, including Norsok, ASME, Nace etc. and an understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and six sigma. NEBOSH / IOSH qualified and with a comprehensive knowledge of / qualification in quality management, and experience in a comparable role you will also have:

* practical experience of using root cause analysis and problem solving techniques

* full understanding of automotive quality management methods (PPAP, Kaizen, 8D etc.)

* knowledge of process validation, statistical tools and continuous improvement technique

* the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* excellent oral, written, presentation and computer skills
