Role: Operations Director / Engineering DirectorMy client design and manufactures a range of innovative special purpose machinery for well-known brands across the world. They have experienced a huge amount of growth, recently breaking into America, and now they need a senior appointment to join the team help grow their operations further. We are looking for someone with a broad background, covering; operations, manufacturing, and R&D. You will work closely with the Director to drive strategic decisions and improve manufacturing and business operations in the UK and internationally. If you have strong experience and skills in the below areas I will be keen to speak to you:

'€¢Driving company strategy throughout manufacturing unit, the ability to cope with transition, change and ability to make an impact is desirable'€¢We are looking for a strong man-manager, to manage production, project and engineering teams'€¢Experience with the Design and build of special purpose machinery, automated products or similar'€¢Happy to be customer facing if and when needed, understand how maintenance and service departments work'€¢Experienced in using lean methodologies and continuous improvement techniques'€¢Develop business efficiencies, reducing costs and improve bottom line'€¢Be hands on in order to solve and technical problems or manufacturing issues that may arise'€¢Broad experience driving productivity, performance and improving manufacturing processes'€¢Technical (mechanical or electro-mechanical) engineering experience with capital equipment, machinery, automation or similar
