SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - FINANCE

Our client one of the world's leading financial services providers are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on an initial 12 month contract basis.

This Project Manager is required is required to lead and manage the delivery of specific workstreams within the overall Finance Transformation Program. This includes full end to end responsibility for project delivery from project initiation, analysis, design, build and implementation through to the post-implementation and benefits realisation reviews.

Project Manager - Finance KEY Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the successful end to end delivery of specific workstreams as per our clients change governance methodology.

* The management & the coordination of key project activities across the project life cycle

* Project planning & estimation

* Resource management

* Project scope

* Requirements documentation

* Project documentation

* Project status reporting

* Project risk management,

* Project communication

* Change management

* Dependency management

* Operational readiness / Transition to end state Operating model.

* Post-implementation reviews

* Benefits realisation

* Integration with overall Program.

* Provide regular reporting to applicable managers, executive team, and stakeholders as required.

* Escalate issues in an appropriate, timely, and tactful manner.

* Actively participate in resolution of issues and conflicts, internally as well as with clients and vendors where appropriate.

* Provide leadership to guide the work stream providing timely advice to stakeholders and recognising budgetary constraints and functional dependencies.

* Maintain project artefacts throughout the project lifecycle

* Identify & manage stakeholders (internal & external)

Project Manager - Finance Requirements:

* Candidate must have extensive experience of project delivery with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

* This must be within a Financial Services environment and with prior Actuarial, Regulatory reporting or modelling experience.

* Change Management experience within the Financial services industry is a big plus

* Proven track record of successfully leading cross functional projects

* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), especially with regards to providing information to Senior Management.

* Customer facing experience - taking meetings with customers, providing input to resolve any issues, and driving any actions to completion.

* Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure

* Uses data and analysis to make decisions and to influence others

* Drives & manages change using influencing skills

* Experience of reporting standards such as Solvency II, GAAP & IFRS.

* Experience with Back Office platforms and integrations of systems and processes within Financial Services environment.

* Previous experience of delivery within a Global multinational organisation.

* Project Management qualification.

* Strong knowledge of Life and Pensions, Claims, Underwriting or Reinsurance is a plus

* Experience of Risk Management is a plus

* Previous experience of delivery within a Global multinational organisation is a plus
