Project Manager - Space Planning

c£40k plus package

Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading engineering support services organisation for an experienced professional with a background in Space Planning or Architectural technical support to join their internal facilities team to carry out analysis and project management of space planning projects to comply with current building regulations.

The main duties of this role are as follows -

* Provide space planning service across the whole site, ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time and to specification within agreed budget

* Assist Senior Estate Utilisation Engineer in maximising the utilisation of all the section's resources

* Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company's cost, time and quality requirements

* Implementation of Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the Estate Utilisation area of the business ensuring that assessments of risks are carried out which lead to safe working attitudes and practices

* Project managed approved space planning requests from receipt to completion

* Prepare detailed proposals in response to the variety of different space planning requests received

* Manage the expectations of the client throughout the delivery of the space planning process

* Review and updating of complex space planning documentation and participation in extensive discussions covering many disciplines and specialist subject matters with respect to solving challenging space planning related problems

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

* Degree in Architecture or equivalent sector where proven experience of space planning can be evidenced

* Experienced user of AutoCAD

* Be able to demonstrate working to structured project methods to deliver projects under your control - recognised Project Management certification would be desirable

* Knowledge of building regulations and process for submission of relevant Warrants to ensure work is signed off to regulatory standards

* Able to engage with a variety of stakeholders - across a variety of discipline specialisms within a complex Estate - to effectively project manage space planning and office moves

* Able to work under own initiative and within a busy project environment

* Must be able to gain and maintain UK SC level Security Clearance

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven space planning experience to lead and deliver a hugely varied portfolio of space planning projects - a mix between moves within existing infrastructure as well as planning for modular new builds.
