My client are a leading pharmaceutical company in West Dublin and are looking for a Quality Manager for their medical device division. For this permanent position, you will be compensated with a competitive salary and benefits package including pension, healthcare and bonus.

As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for assuring that activities, processes, and product related to design and development meet current GMP standards and comply with applicable procedures and standards such to ensure the quality integrity of the product. You will also support engineering groups in the execution and completion of project deliverables. You will manage product development supply chain quality and ensure related procedures and processes are current, compliant and capable. Some travel will be involved too outside Dublin and Ireland, liaising with suppliers.

What will I be doing as Quality Manager?

* Provide technical expertise in product development projects, design reviews, verification, validation, serviceability, and manufacturability involving R&D and Sustaining Engineering.

* Lead, from a Quality perspective, the qualification and management of all suppliers, including contract manufacturers and developers associated with product development, based on the product road-maps

* Lead the development of Device Quality Systems that are fully aligned to global processes for the medical device quality system, working with the Compliance Quality team to ensure these developments are defined, documented and implemented in compliance of the QSR, ISO 13485:2016, MDSAP and the EU MDR.

* Support creation and implementation of programs, policies and procedures to evaluate precision, accuracy and capability of processes, products, productions equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.

* Write training material and conduct training sessions on improvement projects and activities.

* Ensures applicability of current quality policies, procedures and objectives by keeping informed of the latest updates/modifications related to FDA and ISO quality systems.

* Chairs the device Change Control Board; Assists Site Quality head with duties as needed.

What do I need to apply for Quality Manager?

Education:

B.Sc. in Scientific or Engineering discipline (level 8)

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years' experience in cGMP-regulated environment is needed. You will need a working knowledge of Quality Engineering principles and device cGMP's specifically related to design and development and risk management. Furthermore, certification and experience with supplier quality management, including auditing, qualification, development, and risk management is required.

Other Skills/Competencies:

Effective communications (written and oral); good organisational skills and attention to detail; proficient in business solutions software (such as MS Office); good interpersonal skills.
