Data Migration Team Leader (BODS)

The data migration team forms part of the Group BI Competency Centre. The team is responsible for supporting both traditional migration of data from 'system a' to 'system b' as well as the archiving of data from systems that are scheduled for retirement. The majority of data migration will be from legacy line of business applications to the sap platform using the sap business object data services (bods) suite of tools.

Overview

* Being an SME with respect to Data Migration activities, advising and supporting both SAP and Non SAP programs with respect to their data migration needs.

* To manage the day-to-day activities of the Data Migration team and their deliverables.

* To work with the Data Migration Manager to ensure delivery is in line with Company standards.

* Establish standard Data Migration reporting processes and reporting pack to provide consistent feedback to relevant stakeholder groups.

* To work very closely with Business Data Migration leads to ensure successful end-to-end delivery of Data Migration activities.

* Ensure Babcock's legal and security related obligations are met during all data migration activities.

* Participate and assist on the growth of the Data Migration practice with Group BICC

.

Key Skills

* Experience in SAP BODS product set and its application on both SAP and non-SAP based migration programs.

* Proven experience working with data migration project teams delivering solutions to business requirements and project timescales.

* Team leading experience in a delivery focused environment.

* Experience designing and/or delivering solutions.

* Ability to work on multiple work streams and manage deliveries across these streams.

* Evidence of working in a challenging and complex organisation and demonstrable experience of contributing to successful data migration programs.

* Experience delivering solutions to an agreed standard using industry standard methodologies.
