Integration Consultant / Data Developer - Java - Salary £55,000 - London

My client is looking for a Java Data Developer / Integration Consultant with a minimum of 2 years' experience, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Data & Analytics Group.

A successful candidate will be joining a highly agile Core and Analytics team tasked with the integration of multiple data sources for the creation of an Agricultural Data Warehouse with a global scope.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED of the Java Data Developer / Integration Consultant

* Extensive Java development skills, using key technologies such as Spring, JMS, JDBC, JEE

* A strong understanding of Object Orientated Programming using Java

* Has previously dealt with data on a large scale, preferably more than 1TB using sequel data formats

* Good communication skills - a successful candidate will need to liaise directly with clients

* An interest in business logic

* Ability to deal with and alter 'messy' data sets

* Experience with configuration software

* A strong understanding of SOA and API concepts

* Unix/Linux Scripting

* XML (ideally XSD and XSLT)

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Java Data Developer / Integration Consultant

* Cleaning 'messy' data

* Work with your Senior Development Consultant to complete tasks

* Configure and test data workflows

* Develop and test data mappings

* Co-ordinate and manage end to end integration tests with the Data Engineering Team as well as external stakeholders

* Ensure configuration is deployed successfully and according to best practices.
