A Leading Sciences and Engineering company are recruiting for a Strategic Analyst Consultant to work within their Advisory Services business supporting a broad range of clients across the Defence and Security market, with growth aspirations in wider Government, Transportation, Oil & Gas and Energy sectors on a global basis.

The role of Strategic Analyst sits within the Consultancy team of the Advisory Services business. The team is going through a period of sustained growth and we are looking for people who want to positively contribute to the exciting challenges that this growth presents.

Along with the standard responsibilities of the role there are significant opportunities for career progression via training, role experience and additional objectives.

You are expected to be educated to degree level or equivalent. This role is intended for an individual embarking on a career in strategic research and analysis and offers significant opportunities for development and to contribute ideas and inputs to a growing business stream.

Key Accountabilities:

* Member of the Advisory Services Consulting team

* Delivering analytical and research support to projects already in train

* Supporting the development of opportunities in particular with new customers and in the policy/strategy domain

* Working as part of a team to deliver problem shaping and rationalisation, innovative approaches and customer-focussed solutions

* Promoting the Companies capabilities through participation in events and the publication of research papers

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

* Appreciation of MoD and wider government processes

* Interpersonal / presentation skills with the ability to persuade and influence with people outside your own immediate area of specialism

* Understanding of Defence and Military terminology

* Self-motivated with the ability to learn new industries and defence domains

* Good communication skills, both written and oral

* Capable of conducting research and analysis tasks independently or as part of a team

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
