My client is a large and successful company who provide services within the personal and commercial sector. They are currently looking for a software development team leader to join their team on a full-time basis as they currently have lots of projects in the pipeline. The successful candidate will get exposure to many systems and be able to lead a team but also stay hands on. My client has said that they will induct the new team leader correctly so you will gain lots of experience with React.

Main duties and candidate qualities:

To manage a team of Software Developers in ensuring that the computer systems and projects allocated to the jobholder are designed, implemented, supported and maintained to meet the Company’s business requirements and IT’s technical requirements, within budget and to schedule. Assume overall responsibility for the effective management and development of your team. Be able to motivate and inspire the team to further improve the speed and quality of their deliverables. This will include performance reviews and 1-2-1 meetings with team members in areas of responsibility. Strong proven experience in analysis, design, and programming, including exposure to business systems and processes. Knowledge of software development tools in use at my client is required.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in full stack development and be able to be a technical mentor for the team, with strong development experience in:

Javascript (ES2015 and newer)

Client side frameworks (e.g. React/Redux)

Client side development tooling (e.g. Webpack)

UI / UX development, including responsive design

HTML/CSS3/DOM

JSON / XML

Web standards and building for accessibility

Unit testing frameworks, e.g. Jest

Software version control systems such as GIT, GitHub or Subversion.
