Senior Buyer Competitive Salary - Bristol
We are looking for a Senior Buyer working to work on a permanent basis in the South West.
In this role you will help generate significant value for the business by reducing the total cost of bought in goods and services and manage supplier relationships to increase the overall value derived from the Supply Chain.
This is a great opportunity for an Procurement individual, to join a large and successful function within a leading engineering business.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
* To manage and mentor a team of Buyers encouraging lean thinking and a continuous improvement culture.
* Delivery of key category strategies.
* Converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders and issuing to suppliers, negotiating appropriate T&Cs for the protection of the organisation.
* Understand and implement contract requirements and relevant special conditions.
* Manage and develop supplier relationships.
* Pro-active supplier order book management activities.
Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:
* A recognised degree qualification or equivalent is preferred.
* CIPS Level 5 or above.
* A proven track record of effective people management and interpersonal skills.
