Front Desk Engineer High Voltage Battery Specialist

WHAT TO EXPECT

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you'll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

Following the unveiling of our new all-electric model - the I-Pace - Jaguar Land Rover Electrified vehicles will begin to launch around the globe shortly. As Technical Support Engineer you'll work with our new high voltage technologies, ensuring safe working on our HV systems, whilst providing excellent customer service for our electric and hybrid product range.

The European Front Desk Engineering team are an intrinsic support to network dealer retailers in the diagnosis and repair of electrified vehicles, and act as the first touch point of contact for failures and component issues. In your role you'll help ensure a strong link between Front Desk Engineering, Engineering, and Service teams. You'll ensure all aspects of safe working on vehicles with Hazardous Voltage Systems and that relevant HV procedures in the workshop manual are correctly written and followed by technicians. You'll also ensure offboard diagnostic instructions and routines are utilised correctly by the retailer network.

Working as part of a team of engineers, you'll be based in the European Front Desk Engineering (EFDE) Centre in Whitley, Coventry.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Your previous experience as an engineer or technician of electrified products in PHEV or BEV will mean you have excellent knowledge of electrical systems and/or power electronics at voltages in excess of 150 V d.c.

Drawing on your strong communication skills you will be interacting and supporting retailers whilst working efficiently within a multidisciplinary and internationally based team.
