Head of Quality - £85,000 - North Yorkshire

An innovative and exciting Pharmaceutical company based in Yorkshire who are looking to bring on an experienced Head of Quality to oversee their team.

Reporting into the QA Director you will be in charge of overseeing the Quality team and developing the more junior members. You will also be responsible for on site management of the companies Quality Management System including Technical Agreements, Deviations, Customer Complaints, Change Controls and CAPA's.

This opportunity would be well suited to an individual who is looking to expand on theirQA knowledge in an organisation that will enable them to work cross functionally while gaining invaluable experience across a multitude of products and dosage forms.

Accountabilities:

* Support in the management and leadership of the Quality Department.

* Manage, motivate, train, and coach, any direct reports to ensure assigned Quality Assurance (QA) and personnel development objectives are achieved within agreed time-scales

* Execute core QA deviation, non-conformance, change control, document review, auditing, risk management and training processes as instructed by QA Management

* To perform limited Batch Release duties

* To oversee the Deviation system and ensure deviations are investigated to root cause in a timely manner.

* To monitor Key Performance Indicators and trends and to forward these to senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.

* Ensure Quality Management system is fit for purpose and system owners in place for all areas within own group.

Skills & Experience:

* The successful applicant will be educated to degree level in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or other science related discipline.

* Have a sound knowledge of the manufacture of pharmaceutical oral liquid and solid dose products including tablets and two-piece capsules.

* Experience working in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance at more than one MHRA approved site.

* Good understanding of current EU regulatory requirements for solid dose products, semi solid and liquid products and expectations in EU Good Manufacturing Practice.

* Strong experience in the management of a team of individuals.

* Certified Qualified Person or in process of achieving this qualification (non-QPs also considered)
