Where you'll work:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a cross platform Mobile Apps Developer to join the Technology Team. They office in Kingswood in Staffordshire is a custom built facility acting as a centre of support services for the business affording a great opportunity to build a strong internal network, as you carry out your day to day role.

What you'll do

This role will see you working as a Mobile Developer (iOS / Android ) where you will be able to extend your skill set. Your expertise and skills will help to develop new and exciting digital products to help improve the user experience. If you enjoy trying out new ideas and technologies and are at your best when building applications using hybrid and omni channel mobile app technologies then this post is for you.

You will be responsible for the designing and building of quality mobile and tablet applications, following the prescribed Agile software development methodology. Your primary focus will be the development of these applications and the integration of back-end systems with front-end user interfaces. You will be working closely with the development team and assist the Technical Lead actively, in order to deliver bespoke, scalable apps. You will support service design improvement across the extensive portfolio of applications (including HR, Finance, and all Operational business lines along with Commercial, Industrial, Hazardous, Municipal, Treatment). You will work as a 2nd and 3rd line support during development, deployment and post-deployment stages.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience developing mobile and tablet applications with experience in any Rapid Mobile Application Development Platform, preferably Kony, and Java programming. Kony MADP is the key platform their organisation uses to build Mobile Apps. The Comapny endeavour to provide the necessary training so a willingness to learn new skills is highly desirable.

About your knowledge, skills and experience

* Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent in-depth practical experience

* Proven track record of designing, developing and delivering cross platform Mobile Applications.

* 2+ years of development experience using Java / C#.Net.

* Experience in UI and UX designing.

* Excellent knowledge of JavaScript.

* Any knowledge of Angular JS and Node JS will be beneficial.

* Experience of developing and consuming Web services (SOAP and RESTful) using Java API / WCF.

* Experience with SQL (MySQL & SQL Server) and NoSQL(DynmoDB) databases.

* Good knowledge of design & architectural patterns.

* Understanding of Apple and Google Android design principles and interface guidelines.

* Ability to handle conflicting and changing demands at a short notice through prioritisation and a rational approach

* Knowledge of AWS development tools including Lambda and Gateway APIs.

* Any experience in Kony Mobilefabric backend development will be highly beneficial.

* Working experience of code versioning using Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) or Git.

* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work to deadline and manage own time effectively.
