Job role: Release Manager
Location: Southend
Contract Length: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
The Release Management team manage the delivery of software, patches and GPOs to the customer's estate.
Tasks -
Manage a schedule of work on behalf of projects, which will require liaising with many dependent teams.
Manage relationships with both supplier teams and customers.
Be able to respond to, and manage, a constantly changing timeline, based on fixed implementation dates.
Technologies -
Wintel platforms
Radia
Unix
Mandatory Technical Skills -
Good understanding of Wintel systems including software release, patching and GPOs. A good knowledge of the estate would be highly desirable.
A basic understanding of Unix systems
An understanding of the Radia packaging process
Mandatory Business Skills -
Knowledge of Project Management concepts; excellent communication skills; Problem Management Implementation Management
