Project Manager - Contract - 6 months - Hampshire - Active Directory. My client, a leading UK University, is looking for an experienced, ideally Prince2 certified, Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract. You must be very experienced in complex IT infrastructure projects (primarily storage) - Active Directory. You will be required to manage the transition of file infrastructure moves.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

*Initiating and planning the project

*Build and manage a delivery plan together with the Enterprise systems team.

*Identify any areas of scope and/or responsibilities that are not clearly defined and agree on a resolution prior to completing the Project Plan.

*Identify project stakeholders and establish the communication plan with them.

*Co-ordinate with BAs to ensure timely collection of data

*Liaise with the other Project Manager to ensure synchronicity across related projects.

*Weekly reporting on progress.

*Manage the budget under the guidance of IT finance.

*Lead the project teams to achieve project scope

*Manage the project schedule

*Develop required change requests and documentation in line with PMO defined control approach

*Manage resource plan(s), mitigating any potential resource conflicts including third party vendors. Escalate any personnel issues in a timely fashion

SKILL SET

*Proven experience of delivering similar large infrastructure change projects.

*Demonstrable leadership skills, delivery focus and gravitas to project positive energetic attitude and resolve disputes and challenges

*Ability to build positive relationships with system users, key business stakeholders and IT teams

*Exceptional Communications skills.

*Technical understanding of storage and/or Active Directory infrastructures.

*Ability to work to tight deadlines

*Project Management Professional Qualification desirable.
