MI Test Analyst

We are currently looking for a MI Test Analyst to join one of my London Insurance clients based in Chelmsford. Previous MI Analysis and Testing capability is required, alongside a business-facing personality with a professional and committed attitude.

Key Areas of Responsibility

(As a minimum this must include the key tasks to be performed)

? Working closely with the other MI BA’s, MI Developers, Business Stakeholders, 3rd party consultants and the Project / Programme Managers to deliver MI Analysis (Requirement Specifications) and MI Testing (Script writing, execution and UAT Support) deliverables.

? Create test scripts for business testers to execute and become "go-to" person for testers during UAT phase

? Conducting system tests and UAT with developers and business stakeholders

? Ability to conduct Testing in accordance with an overall project test strategy

? Feeding into and challenging functional and technical testers to consider impacts and scenarios for an end user perspective.

? Engage with key stakeholders across the business and be responsible for capturing, reviewing, analysing and communicating key business requirements.

? Summarising requirements into testable items requirements for system testing and UAT.

? Working with the team to define the high level scope & goals for each Sprint

? Defining the Acceptance Criteria for all Epics, Stories in JIRA (Aon’s chosen Agile tool)

? Understanding the dependencies across any ‘blocked’ tasks and ‘stories’.

Skills & Knowledge

? A high level of stakeholder management skill and the ability to communicate effectively across the wider project team / business.

? Solid insurance industry knowledge, preferably including London Market experience. MGA or Bordereaux development/testing experience would be very useful, but not essential.

? Experience of Policy/Claims Admin System projects (or the related MI deliverables) is desirable.

? Previous experience in reviewing and documenting business requirements.

? Experience of requirements analysis, planning, creation and execution of UAT test cases.

? Strong MI testing background with exposure the full testing life cycle

? System Integration experience (preferred but not essential)

? Knowledge of HP Quality Centre, Agile and JIRA (preferred but not essential)

? The candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Embodies a positive image to all audiences and is used to working with senior stakeholders.

? Continually demonstrates skills in influencing others and have the ability to know when to challenge decisions and when to exhibit flexibility for decisions made by others.

? Current ability to use a variety of recognised analysis and design techniques; experience designing and facilitating workshops will be looked on favourably.

? Demonstrable knowledge of technology and standard desk top packages: MS/Excel, MS/Word, MS/Project, MS/PowerPoint, MS/Visio.
