Test Planning Analyst (SAP)
Test Planning Analyst (SAP) required for a leading support services organisation based in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding test team as part of a company wide SAP implementation. You will be co-ordinating resources for various testing phases, as well as managing the testing activities in your area throughout the full testing life-cycle for multiple projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Working alongside the Test Manager in coordinating all the required teams (Test, Build, Support and Business) for testing
* Input to the project and test plans, scope, estimates and schedules for functional testing for each test phase and release
* Responsible for managing the production of effective test scripts to cover functional requirements of the programme
* Prioritise tests based on business and technical needs
* Manage scope and inputs into possible automation of test scripts that would make up part of the regression pack
* Collect all testing outputs and ensure a defect log is maintained throughout all testing activities
* Participate and give input to all testing activity including meetings, quality gates, documents and reports
* Work with the Defect Manager to ensure all defects are fixed, as well as attending triage meetings
* Work with a variety of internal teams to communicate test progress
* Ensure all solutions are delivered to an agreed standard and within SLA's
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* Strong background in the full SAP testing lifecycle (system testing, integration testing, defect management, regression testing and UAT)
* Experience working with one of more of the following SAP modules: Procurement, Project Systems, Finance, HR, MM, Sales and Distribution
* Experience coordinating teams for testing, scoping, preparing and executing test scripts
* Experience managing the delivery of robust and re-usable test scripts
* Ability to manage conflict whilst building successful business relationships with stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills
* ISTQB or ISEB certification (desirable)
Other Requirements:
* Must have or be able to obtain MOD Security Clearance
