METERING MANAGER (ENERGY INDUSTRY), EDINBURGH

Job Type: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000

Location: Edinburgh

A Metering Manager (Energy Industry) is required to join a Utility in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. The successful Metering Manager (Energy Industry) will be responsible for the transition of legacy meters to Smart Meters and will have knowledge of the various industry metering codes and help with the strategy of the SMETs2 Roll out. This is a very dynamic role and a fantastic opportunity for an industry enthusiast and professional to join an exciting business.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

* Strong understanding of the UK energy industry and Domestic Metering

* Strong knowledge of the Smart Metering space (Ideally SMETs2)

* Knowledge delivering continuous improvement and improving business processes

* Experienced managing 3rd party suppliers (MOPs/MAPs)

* Experience of the SEC and knowledge or experience working with the DCC

* Excellent MS Excel and MS Office skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

* Experience of the industry codes (MRA, BSC, SEC, DCUSA, SPAA etc.)

* Experience planning SMETs2 roll out

* Ability to train and develop others

Day to Day role:

The successful Metering Manager (Energy Industry) will have a great opportunity to join a growing business and will have the opportunity to shape and create processes for the successful roll out of SMETs2 meters. The successful Metering Manager (Energy Industry) will have excellent communication skills, a strong energy industry background with the drive to progress in the industry, knowledge of Smart Metering and the ability to work with and manage the company's 3rd party suppliers. Other duties will include representing the company and sharing best practice with others with regards to industry compliance and code changes.
