Are you an experienced DNS Network Engineer with proven experience of Linux platforms and Ancible?

Overview

We are looking for an experienced (contract) DNS Network Engineer to join a highly talented team responsible for the design, build and run of our clients global network service platforms on behalf of their customers. They create and run the network technologies that form the basis of the voice and data services including broadband, Voice over the public switched telephone network (PSTN) and voice over IP (VoIP) along with data services including our IPVPN multiprotocol label switching services (MPLS) and Ethernet services.

Skills & Experience:

                DNS Implementation Experience including Caching and

Authoritative DNS

                Preferably, working knowledge of PowerDNS components

                Working knowledge of Ansible

                Working knowledge of Git

                Take ownership of project related tasks & activities

                Good communication skills

Skills & experience:

DevOps & Repository

Essential :

Developing Ansible playbooks (not just using them), Git, Yum Repository management, Linux platforms (OL7/RedHat preferred), Vagrant, Virtualisation

Preferred Skills:

Development experience of any of the following; Python, Ruby, Jenkins, Linux scripting, Linux Tuning, Linux journal integration.

Highly Desirable Skills

DNS Design

Knowledge of any of the following: PowerDNS Knowledge (Recursor, DNSDist, Auth DNS), DNS design and configuration experience, design leadership, clear written and verbal communication.

Desirable

IP Networking

Knowledge of any of the following:

Familiarity with IP networking (layer 2 & 3) and BGP on Linux systems to specify requirement for and support integration with router layer.

Fault diagnostics. Cisco CLI, vCentre.
