Godalming College in Surrey has a reputation for high quality, innovative teaching and learning along with outstanding results. We describe ourselves as a ‘successful modern learning community’ and the College provides contemporary and stimulating surroundings in which to work and study.

We are seeking someone to join our expanding MIS team to help provide data to teachers, management and external organisations in the form of reports, web applications and ADHOC SQL queries. The role would be ideal for a graduate with a degree in a relevant discipline or someone looking to develop and build their career.

You will be working closely with two other software developers on the development side and the Head of ILT Services for data analysis/reporting. You will also regularly be interacting with the wider college staff and student body to solve issues, identify inefficiencies in processes and gather requirements so we can improve the quality of the software/reports we provide.

The College uses an MIS written in house supported on a Microsoft stack (SQL Server, Reporting Services, IIS, C# .Net Web Apps). Previous experience working with these technologies is desirable but not essential. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate skills in object orientated programming and SQL querying capability, with a willingness to learn on the job as the College likes to keep on the cutting edge with new technology regularly being introduced.

The salary for the role is £27,360 - £29,999 per annum and starting salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
