Senior IT Project Manager

My client is a world leader within their sector and they are looking to hire a Senior IT Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. They are currently planning some exciting projects within their IT infrastructure and require an experienced Snr IT PM to oversee the project planning, programme planning, implementation and budgeting and costs.

Main Duties:

                                                   Manage projects from initiation, implementation to project completion

                                                   Be the forefront of defining, documenting and scoping the project.

                                                   Ensure the project team adhere to company policy when following project process such as Framework and System Development Lifecycle.

                                                   Identify skill requirements and secure the resources to meet the agreed scope.

                                                   Report/filter information and documentation to the senior Stakeholders throughout IT project process

                                                   Ensure the necessary business decisions are taken in a timely manner

                                                   Ensure project is in line with the deadlines and the project team are meeting milestones

                                                   Monitor the progress of the project, ensuring risks and issues are identified, documented and resolved appropriately

                                                   Developing and implementing contingency plans as required

                                                   Manage the deployment of application and infrastructure changes in line with the change and release management policy

                                                   Liaise with external resources at a strategic and tactical levels to ensure deliverables are as specified and to plan

The ideal candidate will have worked within an IT Project Manager role and have knowledge of IT systems, managing teams and liaising with senior members of staff and stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

                                                   Experience in Project Management role including managing many medium and large scales projects

                                                   Managing multiple projects at the same time, in different phases

                                                   Experience in various project delivery processes, including detailed planning, risk and issue management, budget forecasting, resource management, and financial control

                                                   Experience in various project management tools such as MS Project
