About the Team:

Business Service Management (BSM) is responsible for the delivery of managed IT & communications services to O2`s business customers within the UK, building on an industry-leading record of high customer satisfaction within its mobile, WiFi and ICT business.

Manage the delivery and implementation of O2 Gateway based connectivity services for O2 Business Customers, with awareness and use of the defined delivery methodology, ensuring that services are delivered on time and to contracted customer requirements.

Your Role:

As Senior Delivery Manager you`ll be responsible for delivering customer-facing O2 Gateway based connectivity Managed Services to Cost, Time, Quality and Scope. You`ll be customer facing with emphasis on governance around finances and documentation standards. Also ensuring that the appropriate resources are managed and allocated to ensure delivery through key Functional areas.

Responsibilities:

The role holder will be accountable for ensuring that all Deployment related activities are achieved on time and within the required budget, quality and scope agreed with the Business Owner to ensure that the business benefits are realised.

It is key that the role holder effectively controls and governs deployment through industry best practice including effective management of the risks, issues and dependencies that influence successful delivery.

The role holder will be expected to build relationships with key senior stakeholders, plan and execute communications plans. Inform and influence stakeholders to improve the probability of success.

It will be necessary to employ key measures and promote required behaviours to support reduced cost, improved investment efficiency and faster time to market.

A key component of the role through strong leadership and interpersonal skills is to develop skills and capability throughout the Deployment Function through innovation and best practice underpinned by O2`s people & cultural development paths in order to deliver best in class performance.

Skills & experience:

- Demonstrable experience within Telecoms delivery environment

- Strong understanding of connectivity services - Wi-Fi, Data, Ethernet, Cisco, WAN

- Strong leadership and communications skills operating at a senior level

-Experience running large deployment projects in a large complex organisation where time to market and cost are critical success factors

-Stakeholder management skills to senior level and a proven track record in line management and capability development

-Willingness to challenge the status quo and adopt innovative delivery mechanisms

-Proven track record of delivery and a track record of achieving results through people in a matrix delivery team

-Qualified to Prince2 Foundation with ITIL v3 Foundation (min)
