About the Team:

The team oversees and governs the support systems and capabilities on behalf of Network Operations, as well as governing the integration of technical service deliveries into our Service & Performance Management Centre to meet our Customer, People, Business and Technology needs.

Your Role:

Your role will be to help maintain and develop the highly automated fault resolution systems in order for Telefonica to achieve its automation and availability targets demanded by the business in order to deliver a highly automated Monitoring Centre.

Responsibilities:

-You`ll be responsible for pro-actively developing, monitoring and maintaining

the Automation Systems and Capabilities Toolsets that are under the team`s

remit, in order to carry out these task you will need to have proven IT and

Network skills

-You`ll be required to handle 1st and 2nd line administration and support,

resolving internal customer and network support system issues working with

vendors, other Telefonica teams and managed services, as well as assisting in

the delivery of fixes and upgrades to these systems to support the continuing

network evolution

-Maintain an advanced level of knowledge on defined Networks Element

Management Systems and associated business processes to ensure the best

customer automation solutions for the SPMC

-Enhance and develop automation processes and toolsets to ensure continual

improvement within the Service and Performance Management Centre

(SPMC) monitor and fix environment

-Engage with projects and solution suppliers to ensure Automation tools,

systems and capability are fit for purpose and meets the operational

requirements for alarm monitoring

-You`ll also be required to drive automation and develop processes in the

automation toolset which will include having the ability to manipulate and

develop UNIX, Perl, Java and HTML / PHP scripts

Skills & experience:

-Working Knowledge and proven experience of Java programming, UNIX and

Perl

-Working Experience in other programming languages (Bash, Python, HTML,

PHP, Javascript) would be beneficial.

-Knowledge of OSS Network Automation tools such as ASTRO (SEP/AOR),

OPS, FMX, SAfE, and Entuity, BMC Truesight, Netcool, NetAct, Ericsson

OSS-RC

-Knowledge in various type of network technologies: Cellular (2G/3G/4G), IP

and experience working in a network operations environment Systems

and infrastructure

-Knowledge and hands-on experience with databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle,

MySQL, PL/SQ

-Beneficial experience, dedicated software developer, experience with Object

Oriented programming languages, Object-relational mapping frameworks,

experience developing web applications, Web development frameworks

-Administer automation toolset working with the platform and database teams

to ensure processes and toolsets availability meet the required SLA`s
