We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work with colleagues across Age UK to understand user needs, identify and prioritise requirements, and help define, shape and scope projects. This is a challenging and rewarding role, working on new and innovative opportunities which will have a significance impact on our work for older people.
Main Responsibilities
Work with D&T team and with other teams to identify, specify and prioritise business needs and user requirements.
Deliver the following outputs, as needed: e.g. Functional requirements, Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, Service blueprints, User journey maps, Wireframes, and Interface designs
Interpret customer and business needs and translate them into a brief for colleagues
Track and share market developments in digital and technology relevant to our sector, organisation and audiences.
Be a key liaison between the Strategy team and other teams on early-stage/discovery projects
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
Coordinate and oversee tracking and reporting of digital & technology performance across agreed KPIs, working with colleagues in Data team and other teams.
Experience
Proven experience in Business Analysis covering: Business Systems Analysis /Re-engineering, Business Process Management, Process Architecture, Change Management
Experience in digital and technology product development.
Able to work on projects with Microsoft suite of products, in particular preference for experience of Microsoft Dynamics.
Relevant technology expertise to offer the organisation, e.g. in internet technologies, Application Design, Content and Document Management Systems, CRM, Data Warehouses, Groupware, Portals.
User centred design and business process mapping experience preferable.
Passion for identifying and championing users' needs
Extremely analytical and logical, with a disposition to making decisions based on user insight, data and analysis
Skills & Knowledge
Ideally, experienced in user centred design techniques and wide range of user insight & research methods.
Ability to consult, collaborate and influence colleagues throughout the organisation.
Strong analytical skills, with advanced data analysis and Excel skills.
Experienced in lean / agile project approaches
Ability to problem solve, to be adaptive and flexible in approach and to be solution-focussed.
Ability to think innovatively and drive forwards change and implement plans.
Good communicator with good level of negotiation, influencing and presentation skills, especially where communicating technical issues or solutions to non-technical colleagues.
Excellent organisational skills, able to work efficiently.
A team player with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a wide range of people.
Ability to understand and monitor external and organisational contexts.
Understanding of technology in the context of Charity sector’s users.
Motivated by stretching targets and delivering significant social change with technology
Extremely analytical and logical, with a disposition to making decisions based on user insight, data and analysis
Additional Information
Occasional travel to sites outside of London to enable performance of the duties and responsibilities and for the purposes of maintaining and updating professional skills and development.
