IT Desktop Apprentice

Our client is an award-winning self-catering holiday specialist. In partnership with South Devon College, they are now looking for an IT Desktop Apprentice to join them on a 12 month apprenticeship. 

An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to gain key skills in a particular field while earning a wage. You’ll have the chance to increase your knowledge in a number of areas, including technical support, troubleshooting and PC/laptop build management, to name but a few. 

As an IT Desktop Apprentice, you’ll learn how to provide a high level of technical support to our client’s employees.  

During this exciting apprenticeship, you will: 

- Communicate with end users in a friendly and professional manner 

- Provide hardware management and support 

- Assist with network and connectivity issues 

- Support cyber security activities 

- Provide support with applications, such as Skype and Microsoft Outlook  

- Attend classes at South Devon College for one day each week 

Interested? Whilst no experience is essential, you’ll need:

- A passion for all things IT  

- Strong communication skills

- An analytical mindset  

- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude 

As you’ll be attending classes at South Devon College in Paignton, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle would also be a benefit, however there is regular public transport available for non-drivers.
