We are looking for 2 Band 6 Business Intelligence Analysts to join our busy Business Intelligence team supporting our acute hospital:

An Analyst, responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of focused information to support the Trust’s agenda for business planning and performance management.

An Analyst / Developer, who will play a key role in developing, maintaining and evolving the Trust data warehouse and reporting service used across the organisation.

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst:

As Senior Business Intelligence Analyst you will analyse, interpret and deliver information to support the Trust in monitoring service performance and quality against key access and activity targets. You will also produce analysis to support business planning and operational development decision making. You need to be able to interpret data, highlighting trends and patterns in different areas and investigate inconsistencies.

Forming a partnership, you’ll work with clinicians, senior managers and stakeholders, so you need to be confident communicating and presenting information (formally, informally and in reports) in a concise and meaningful way. Your colleagues will look to you for advice on information available, detailed analysis and support with data quality.

A pro-active and innovative approach to reporting will be key to your success, reacting to the changing needs of the hospital, but also using your initiative to identify and implement changes.

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer:

This role will support the development, enhancement and maintenance of the Trust’s data warehouse used by the Business Intelligence Team and the wider Trust. The post requires specialist technical knowledge and experience to support the development of reporting solutions using SQL server and SAP Business Objects as well as strong information analysis skills as data analysis will be an important part of the role.

Your responsibilities will be diverse, depending on the projects the Business Intelligence Team is working on, but will be focused on supporting and improving the access to, and analysis, of information used by the Trust in its decision making and reporting.

For both of these roles, previous experience in an analytical role is essential. As expected, you will need advanced IT and technical skills to maximise the capabilities of databases, reporting tools and spreadsheets. Knowledge and experience of NHS plan and performance agendas would be an advantage.
