Our dedicated Resource Analysts are part of a wider community at NATS, who deliver insights into the efficient and effective deployment of our most valuable resources; ensuring we have enough Air Traffic Controllers on duty 24/7 both now and in future years to provide safe and efficient air traffic services to our customers as well as delivering change projects that are critical to NATS' future. This is no mean feat.

Post-operational analysis and predictive planning solutions are critical services we provide to managers of Air Traffic Control operations and delivering a robust and trusted service to our customers is vital. This is an opportunity to join a team at the heart of planning and delivering staffing solutions for a key part of the UK's transport infrastructure.

The role

Are you a logical thinker? Are you a natural problem solver? Do you like to work with data to drive decision making? If so, this may be the role for you!

You will be required to take a flexible approach in supporting business needs and you will be afforded the scope to apply your initiative and apply innovative ideas for problem solving.

We are looking for motivated applicants with great skills in communication, focus on customer needs, attention to detail and with experience in data analysis and reporting.

As in integral member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering planned and ad-hoc reporting and analysis tasks in service of the management of our Swanwick Control Centre operation.

This role requires someone who is self-confident, engaging and persuasive and who is able to demonstrate responsibility and accountability.

Applicants should be educated to a degree level or have demonstrable relevant professional experience and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

* An understanding of data analysis and reporting tools and techniques, with the technical capability to draw appropriate sample sets from databases or other sources to answer business questions

* Comfortable with taking day to day responsibility for the planning and execution of assigned tasks

* Confidence in challenging customers' requirements and influencing their approach in order to better meet their needs

* Ability to communicate effectively with peers and managers within a multi-disciplinary environment

* Experience with SQL, SSRS or Power BI would be an advantage

* Experience in the use of Microsoft Windows/Office environment with particular reference to Excel, Powerpoint and Word

In addition to a salary of up to £ 39,160.22, DOE, NATS offers a range of excellent benefits which includes 26 days leave, increasing to 28 days after 1 year's service plus statutory leave and a top class contributory DC pension scheme.
