Job Title: Lead Developer

Location: Liverpool L2

Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 per Annum

Holidays: 25 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Company are an award-winning Web Development Agency with a reputation for quality software solutions and excellent customer service and we’re now seeking a forward-looking Lead Developer.

Based in Liverpool city centre, they’re a small agency with a prestigious client base including government departments, security organisations, emergency services and companies with business-critical software.

They are looking for an experienced developer with excellent back-end coding skills. If you want to work with prestigious clients including Hewlett Packard, Bank of New York, NHS, DVLA and UK Space Agency, they would love to talk to you.

They would like to you to be able to:

Build robust software solutions and using frameworks like Wordpress/Umbraco and bespoke PHP/.NET applications

Write high-quality software specifications to meet client’s business needs, balancing technical and commercial requirements

Provide technical input for client meetings

Identify problems impacting our software development and implement effective solutions

Conduct code reviews, assist in recruiting developers and conduct staff reviews

Implement and oversee robust testing practices

Contribute to project delivery, general software development and assist in covering our Zendesk support platform

Contribute to the technical direction and vision of the company, taking a lead on R&D projects

Monitor trends and emerging technologies

Other tasks, as may be appropriate

Your skills will include:

Excellent skills in some of the following: PHP/.NET framework/C#/SQL/JavaScript

Excellent back-end knowledge of CMS Systems (Preferably Wordpress and Umbraco)

(Desirable) Knowledge of Xamarin, Cordova, Gitlab, Jenkins

They would like you to be:

An experienced back-end senior developer with strong and successful technical lead experience

Experienced with testing methodologies and open source software

Experienced with designing and implementing bespoke and large-scale software development projects

You should:
